Make digital signing part of your SaaS product

When I talk to SaaS companies, I often hear the same question: How can we make digital signing a natural part of our product?

It’s a fair question. If your customers already create contracts, agreements or other documents in your platform, it makes sense to let them get those documents signed without leaving your system. But keeping track of regulations, eIDAS and digital signing requirements is complex.

That’s why it’s worth considering whether to build the entire solution yourself or integrate an existing signing service directly into your product.

Here’s how we can help.

Make signing part of the experience you’ve already built

For me, the most important thing about a good integration is that it feels like a natural part of your product. The experience should feel familiar to your users throughout the process.

Imagine a user creating a contract in your system. Instead of downloading the document, opening another tool, uploading it and starting a separate process, they can send the contract for signing directly. Once it’s signed, both the status and the completed document can be returned to your system.

That’s the kind of connected user experience Addo can help you create.

With the Addo Sign API, you can integrate digital signing directly into your own workflows while we handle the underlying signing infrastructure. You can focus on your product and your customers, with signing built in as an integrated feature.

Why build everything yourself?

Digital signing can sound straightforward. A document needs to be sent to one or more people, and they need to sign it. But there’s much more behind that experience.

You need to handle different identification and signing methods, security, documentation, signing status, reminders, and requirements relating to eIDAS, GDPR and other regulations.

These are areas we already work with at Addo. Addo Sign is designed to support the requirements of the EU’s eIDAS Regulation and supports Nordic identification and signing methods. We handle the infrastructure that helps you get digital signing up and running in your platform.

You retain control over your customer experience, your product and your customer relationships. Addo Sign becomes the engine behind the signing service you offer.

Start with your customers

When I talk to potential partners, I rarely think technology should be the starting point. What matters first is understanding your product and the workflow you want to improve.

Where does the need for a signature arise? How does the customer handle it today? Does a document need approval from one person or several? And what should happen to the document once everyone has signed?

Once we understand that, we can start looking at how an integration with Addo Sign could add value.

Perhaps your customers are already asking for digital signing. Perhaps your users currently switch between several systems to get a contract signed. Or perhaps you see a new opportunity for your product that you haven’t explored yet.

An initial conversation can often quickly reveal what the opportunities are and what they could mean for your business.

Let’s have an initial conversation

If you offer a SaaS solution where your customers work with contracts, agreements or other documents that need signing, I’d like to hear more about it.

You don’t need a finished integration plan or a detailed technical specification. Tell me what you’re building, who your customers are and where you see a need for digital signing.

Then we can explore together whether Addo Sign could be the right engine behind your solution.

In our first meeting, we’ll explore what’s possible and how you can give your customers a great experience and service.
